Abstract

        The purposeof this researchwas to knowandanalyze: (1) The influence offamilyenvironmentonstudents'interest inreadingclass XIIShigh schools inthe city of Padang(2) The influenceoffamily environmentandinterest inreadingforclass XIstudent learning result IShigh schools inthe city of Padang.This kind of this researchbelong tothe causativedescriptivestudywitha population of1,779students. The sampling techniqueused aProportionalStratifiedRandom Samplingtakenbased onschoolaccreditation. The sampletotaled327studentstakenfrom theentirepopulation. The primary datainthis study were obtainedfromquestionnairesthatwere distributed tothe respondents, whilesecondary data was dataassociated with the objectsof the research presentedbyother parties, namelystudent learning outcomes datafromthe value ofthe EndSemesterExamination(UAS) of Economicssubjects. Data analysis techniquesusedby usingpath analysiswithSPSS version15.00.Toexamine thehypothesisusedthe F testandt test. The results of this research ere: (1) There isa significanteffect offamily environmentonstudents'interest inreadingclass XIISSMA NegeriPadang(2) There isa significanteffect offamily environmentandinterest inreadingforclass XIstudent learning result of IS class on SMA NegeriPadang. Adviceto parentstopay attention tothe environmental aspects offamilyandchildren in order toincrease interest inreadinglearning result are achievedfor the better.
