Abstract

This study aims to see the effectiveness of the Learning Cycle 7E learning model on Cognitive Physics Learning Outcomes of Class X SMAN 3 Rambah Hilir. This research is a pre-experimental research with quantitative descriptive approach with One-Group pretest - posttest design. The sample set was class X-2 as many as 22 students of SMAN 3 Rambah Hilir who were taken by purposive sampling. The research instrument was in the form of a physics learning outcome test. Based on the data obtained from the pretest and posttest, where the average value of the students' pretest was 40.3 and the average value of the students' posttest was 82.4. he effectiveness of students' cognitive physics learning outcomes seen by the N-gain test is included in the high criteria where the average N-gain value is 0.70. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an effective Learning Cycle 7E learning model used to improve students' cognitive physics learning outcomes.
