Overview Of Women's Knowledge Of Childbearing Age About Cervical Cancer In Rambah Hilir Village, Rambah Hilir District, Rokan Hulu Regency

GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN WANITA USIA SUBUR TENTANG KANKER SERVIKS DI DESA RAMBAH HILIR KECAMATAN RAMBAH HILIR KABUPATEN ROKAN HULU

Abstract

Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that occurs in the cervical region, and is the leading cause of death among women around the world. An estimated 274,000 deaths occur each year from the disease, with an estimated 89% of new cases in developing countries. The main cause of cervical cancer is Human Papillomavirus (HPV) which is the leading cause of death among women around the world In saving women from becoming victims of cervical cancer, one of which is by attempting to conduct Early Detection By Visual Inspection Method of Acetic Acid (IVA), IVA method is a practical screening method, simple, high sensitivity and cheap. The purpose of this study is to know the picture of knowledge of women of childbearing age about cervical cancer in the village of Rambah Hilir, lower Rambah District, Rokan Hulu In 2018. Quantitative research method with Descriptive design using cross sectional time approach. The samples in this study were women of childbearing age who numbered 8 people using Simple Random Sampling Techniques. The results of the study showed the majority of mothers' knowledge was in the category of enough as many as 40 respondents (50%). Conclusion Of Knowledge Women of childbearing age in the village of rambah hilir is in the category of enough so it is necessary to conduct research on health education about Cervical Cancer and how early detection of cervical cancer.
