Abstract

Overlay is an additional pavement on the surface pavement construction that already exists (existing Pavement) with the aim to increase the strength of the road structure so as to serve traffic as planned during theperiod to come. The purpose of this study was to determine the layer thickness  of Overlay on Jalan Provinsi BatasDesa Labuhan Tangga Besar-Labuhan Tangga Kecil Kabupaten Rokan Hilir Riau. Research carried out by thestructural feasibility survey is non-destructive, by using a tool Benkelman Beam. The use of this tool is to have scaledeflection value behind the basic idea of the thickness of the overlay is planned on Age Plan 5 years and 10 years. Theresults showed that at Age 5 Years Plan, overlay thickness variation of the value of deflection: 7 cm  (Sta 00+000 –00+500; Sta 01+000 – 03+000; Sta 04+500 – 05+000); 7,98 cm (Sta 03+000 – 04+500; Sta 05+000 – 06+000)  dan<3cm (Sta 00+500 - 01+000). At age10 years: 7,98 cm ( Sta 00+000 – 00+50; Sta 01+00 – 03+00; Sta 04+500 –05+000); 8 cm (Sta 03+000 – 04+500; Sta 05+000 – 06+000) and < 3cm (Sta 00+500 -01+00)
