Abstract

This article present a new approach to determine weighting matrices in optimal control using adaptive particle swarmoptimization. APSO is modified from standard PSO which have weighting and multi globalbest. APSO used to improve controlperformance by selecting appropriate weighting matrices. Simulation is given to illustrate the design procedure and to comparation ofcontrol performance between PSO and APSO using integral absolute error (IAE).
