PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BRAIN-BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KONEKSI MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS VIII SMP MUHAMMADIYAH RAMBAH

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of brain-based learning  model on the ability of class VIII student of mathematical connections SMP muhammadiyah Rambah. This study is a quasi-experimental research (quasi experiment) with two group posttest design only. The population in this study is the eighth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Rambah with sample graders VIII1 and VIII2. The experimental class in applied learning model brain based learning and classroom learning to apply controls on conventional. Grade sample was obtained by using the technique of saturated samples. Instruments used to measure students' mathematical connection capability is a test description. Before the tests carried out prior tests tested for in the data analysis to determine the validity, distinguishing features, level of difficulty and reliability. After the test data obtained connection capability in subsequent data analysis to test the hypothesis. Before the hypothesis test first tested the prerequisite that normality and homogeneity test. Normality test used Lilieforstest whose results both classes of normally distributed samples while the homogeneity test using the F test results are both classes having variances homogeneous sample. Further hypothesis test used T test. The calculation result obtained t hitung  > t tabel ie 2,24  2.018 for a = 0.05 then H2 is rejected. Thus obtained that no influence learning model of the brain based learning metematis connection capabilities eighth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Rambah the academic year 2016/2017.
