ANALISIS EFISIENSI PRODUKSI PADI ORGANIK DI DESA KELAYANG KECAMATAN RAKIT KULIM KABUPATEN INDRAGIRI HULU

Abstract

Kelayang Village is the center of organic rice production in Indragiri Hulu Regency. However, the land area and organic rice production in Kelayang Village fluctuated every year. Inappropriate organic rice cultivation techniques in Kelayang Village is one of the factors causing production fluctuations and it is thought that organic rice farmers in Kelayang Village have not been effective yet. The aim of this research is to know the techniques of organic rice cultivation, organic rice production costs, and production efficiency of organic rice in Kelayang Village. The analytical method used descriptive analysis method, production cost analysis, and DEA analysis. The respondents consisted of 34 organic rice farmers. The results of this study indicate that the organic rice cultivation technique in Kelayang Village had not been in accordance with the recommendations. The results of the analysis of farm production cost show that the total cost of producing organic rice amount to Rp 19.281.461/ha. The results of the production efficiency analysis using the DEA program show that the proportion of the number of farmers who are not technically efficient, allocative, and economical is more than the efficient farmers.
